The Story of the Hero Makoma | A African Legend of Strength, Giants and Destiny | A Simple Tale
Simple Tales presents the extraordinary legend of Makoma—a classic African folktale from the Senna people of Southern Africa about strength, humility, and the true meaning of greatness.
Born on the banks of the Zambesi River, Makoma proves his incredible destiny by emerging untouched from a pool of fierce crocodiles, earning his name: "The Greater." Carrying his iron hammer Nu-endo and a massive sack, he sets out across the land, defeating and capturing mighty giants who shape mountains, rivers, forests, and fire. Yet after overcoming the deadly fever-mist and confronting Sakatirina, a giant whose legs reach into the clouds, Makoma learns a lesson greater than victory itself.
