Facebook Home Lanches!

As discussed earlier on our blog, the promising and ambitious application "Facebook Home" has been officially launched. The release however still limited within USA and for few limited models of Android phones only.

The details announcement here: Facebook unveils Facebook Home for Android

Although launched within the boundaries of USA and not many phones being in supported devices list this home application seems to be Facebook Inc.'s greatest effort till date to fix their weaker familiarity with the worldwide population of mobile users. At launch, Facebook Home only works on HTC One X, One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II and the HTC First.

For Facebook fans the new home application with launcher may seem really useful with running feeds and notifications. The launcher allows the applications like "Instagram" and "Messenger" to add to the flavor. The messenger lets users to view or post into conversations without leaving any other applications they have kept open. The chat can also be popped out to be kept idle while using another application window. Top of everything, people can write comments or respond while keeping the phones locked! Another nice thing that shouldn't go unnoticed is that the app is still advertisement free.

With all the positives there are few negative points too which can hardly be missed by any old user. The privacy is not so much private with the lock screen not locking the conversations. Then the home application is not configurable to work as the user may like either.

As this is the initial release of the application and yet to support other devices or countries we can obviously expect it to be changed in a better direction.

Here is how the application is described in its Google Play page where users can download it(Google Play page to download the app) :
